The UFPe Extended Programme is a 4-term foundation course that allows those students who may need additional study to ensure a successful outcome. Applicants with lower English qualifications or an insufficient academic background may be offered UFPe adding an extra term of study to the standard UFP course. The extra term is tabled before the start of the traditional UFP so that UFPe students will be able to join the mainstream UFP after completing the pre-sessional term.

This extra term is an opportunity for those students to improve on one or more subject areas to reach the level required for UFP.

| UFPe students may choose one of the following combinations: |
| Skill 1 only |
required for students with min 4.5 score in IELTS or equivalent |
| Skills 1 + 2 only |
required for students with min 4.5 score in IELTS or equivalent and need to improve in Mathematics |
| Skills 1 + 3 only |
required for students with min 4.5 score in IELTS or equivalent and need to introduce them to elements in Art and Design they may have never covered before. |
| Skill 3 only |
required for students who do not have an Art portfolio. It is also for those who need additional work on improving Art and Design skills and to introduce them to elements they may never have covered before. This provides students with the opportunity to put together an extensive portfolio in time for university interviews later in the academic year. |
