Who is this course for?
The UFP is a foundation course that is aimed at students who wish to study at top ranking UK universities. Its rich syllabus content and high academic level prepares students for the most challenging degree courses. The UFP aims to prepare students to reach a standard comparable to that reached by A Level and IB students. Emphasis is placed upon helping students develop up to date study, research and IT skills needed to ensure success at degree level.
Foundation courses generally fall into two main types. The first is predominantly focused on improving English language and study skills with limited academic content. while the second is concentrated on raising the academic level of students to cope with the challenging environment of high-ranking university degree courses. Our UFP is of the second type and makes every effort to ensure students have the same academic strength as their A Level and IB counterparts
Therefore, the UFP offers these students a faster route into British universities, while at the same time broadening their knowledge and developing their practical study skills for degree level.
Although the majority of our students are international, we do accept UK students with good GCSE grades or those students who have attempted A-Levels but did not achieve the grades to enter the university course of their choice.
We also recommend the UFP to students who have stopped at Certificate level on the International Baccalaureate – IB.
